Improve Your Lifestyle with Duck Down Duvet

Want a little more joy in the bedroom? Only you can make that happen but a wonderful duck down duvet might help a lot. Your comfort and warmth are important to a happy lifestyle and nothing will improve your nights like the soft, warm, cuddle of a duck down duvet.

What Price Cozy Nights?

Without question a fine warm, cozy sleep is priceless. But can you afford the cost of a high-quality, luxurious duck down duvet? While quality in bedding is not cheap, if you consider the price of a quality duvet and divide the price by the number of the many nights, many years of sweet, luxurious, warm and comfortable sleep you will enjoy, you will surely agree that every great night’s sleep is a bargain.
What do you get for the price?

Real natural duck or goose down
A fine high-quality goose down duvet will be filled with real duck down, the soft layer under the birds feathers that are light and fluffy and insulate the bird. The fill should contain little or no feathers. This makes the duvet light and fluffy while warm. No cotton or synthetic fibers should be in the filler.
High Fill Power Rating
You want a high Fill Power rating that is over 500 closer to 900 for warmth and fluffiness. A rating of 300 to 500 is acceptable in a cheaper duvet.
The right Tog Rating
A high Tog Rate means more warmth. If you sleep in a warm heated room you will want a slightly lower Tog Rate than you will if your sleeping area is cooler.
A good duvet cover is essential
An all Hungarian goose down duvet is a valuable treasure that will require care and (rarely) professional cleaning. The duvet cover is removable for frequent washing. It really does affect the feel and comfort of your duck down duvet.  The finest high thread-count cotton cover will feel soft and will wick moisture away from the body. You could in time wear out the duvet cover and replace it with a new one. You might change the cover if you change the decorof you bedroom.

How large a duvet do you need?

Measure your bed and take those measurements with you when shopping for a duvet. You will want it to be plenty large enough to cover your bed and occupant(s) but not so large that it will hang onto the floor. You might have too much of a good thing.
Traveling?
If you travel it would by worthwhile to buy a small trunk or suitcase that is large enough to contain your duvet without crushing it. If you stay in a hotel of cabin, ask the desk to have the top sheet and quilt removed from your bed. They are often not cleaned between guests and so you can use your own warm and cozy goose down duvet. You’ll sleep better.
At home or away, once you sleep under a down duvet you’ll never want to spend a night without it.
